Serve God

Serving Others

Jesus said, “You can tell what they are by what they do” (Matthew 7:16 CEV).

Fear of commitment plagues our churches. When we refuse to root ourselves in a church, we deprive ourselves, our churches and the world from God’s best.

Its possible to be a member of a church, but never be part of the team that makes the church function properly. Spiritual growth happens when you move from being a receiver to being a reproducer. We are on this earth to serve the kingdom of God through His church. And we do that by ministering to each other in small ways that steady the whole body as we give extra support to one member.

As we allow the Gospel to change our hearts, we will develop a deep care for other people. Our attention will begin to turn away from ourselves and to the needs of others (Galatians 5:13). A good measure of our spiritual health is our depth of concern for other people. Eventually our hearts are so in tune with what Jesus is doing around us, He begins to use us to meet the needs of others.

We have various serving opportunities at Saving Grace.
